Huawei Fit leaks with e-ink screen and heart rate smarts

Huawei is reportedly set to launch a new fitness tracker today, with news surfacing of the Huawei Fit – a round wearable with an e-ink display and heart rate monitor.

According to the Verge, the Fit can track sleep, steps, distance, calories and your heart rate and will be available in grey and silver with three strap colors – black, blue and orange. There’s no GPS though, so you won’t be able to map your runs.

The good news is that the Huawei Fit will work with Android and iPhone handsets, syncing with the free Huawei Wear app available from the corresponding stores.

The Fit is tipped to go on sale today, with the Verge claiming a $129.99 (around £100, AU$170) price tag and availability in Best Buy, Amazon, and Newegg in the US.

It's unclear whether the Huawei Fit will make it to other markets, but hopefully we'll find out later today.
