We were expecting to see the Gear S3 by the end of September, but while it didn’t quite make that date it’s finally almost here, at least if you’re in the UK, with pre-orders now live on Samsung’s website.
You can grab the stylish Samsung Gear S3 Classic for £349 (around $425/AU$560), with deliveries expected on November 11, while the more rugged Samsung Gear S3 Frontier has the same price, but is listed as out of stock.
Put in your order now and you could have a chance of bagging a free pair of Samsung Level Active headphones with your watch, though only the first 1000 pre-orders will get them.
Going global
While currently pre-orders are only open in the UK, it’s a sign that the Gear S3 will likely soon be available in the US and elsewhere, so wherever you are you hopefully won’t have too much longer to wait.
And it’s a watch that could be worth the wait, with a 1.3-inch circular always-on display, a 380mAh battery which promises up to four days of life, a 1.0GHz dual-core processor, dust and water resistance, and all sorts of sensors and tracking tools, including GPS and a barometric altimeter.
But as impressive as these Tizen-powered watches sound we haven’t yet given either the Classic or the Frontier a full review – so you might want to wait for our final thoughts before investing.
